Anyone Fancy A Spring Meet-up

As it says does anyone fancy a spring meet up? Been having an idle chat with elty reminiscing about old names from the forum and a meet up we once had at Frickley, doesn’t have to be that location but somewhere we can camp over night with a campfire :thumbs
I’ll be honest in saying a couple of things in that I’m happy to possibly come in the mav but I’d need to ride shot gun as that truck isn’t going off road which I’m sure you can understand. Also I don’t have a clue about locations or lanes so we would need a collective decision on that.

As for location I would go for somewhere central in the country to make it fair game for everyone.

There is a national park n/e of Birmingham, swadlincote/shepherd which looks to have a few lanes, and obviously peak district to the north!

Peaks seems to be a favourite of the anti's, lakes too, I'm always a bit nervous when I'm laning of bumping into a hostile Walker or horse rider, kind of spoils it for me!:(

I wholeheartedly agree!!!! You guys would love my Space Heater but it's too loud and we wouldn't be able to talk!! Way warmer than the fire and everything you own doesn't stink of stale smoke the next day :doh Can't beat the crackle of a fire through and the laughter we have around them!!!!

If there's that much interest I don't mind leading a second group should we have to :naughty

I’m up for it but no idea how to organise it, sorry guys. If people are up for suggestions what about the camp site that was used last year at Buxton I think it was?

Yep we will make a long weekend break of it, we used to do those journeys regular when we had our narrow boat, moored in Carnforth for a year when we got stuck on the Lancaster canal, and the Leeds and Liverpool was our home canal, Skipton is lovely on the water, Rick
