I’m still doing little jobs on my camper conversion but not a lot of real progress, 12v electrics working fine but need to get a split charger controller and of course not that simple as mine has a smart alternator.

Went out for a drive in the Maverick today as it’s rained a lot so I’m guessing the salt will of washed away for the most part. Really enjoyed the drive. Then came home and went for a lay down and I was out for the count, still not recovered but getting there.

Hi Jim, not posted for a while but got the Terrano up on axle stands at the moment. Need to replace rear hydraulics from ABS actuator back. Have got shoes and fitting kit, cylinders, pipe and tools. Just need to get some union fittings and decide what to do about the flexi hose connector, can either source one or make one up.

Oh yes, just need some dryish weather too.

Cheers,

Mick

Not a great time of year to be working outside on the car is it.

Jim, I got a Waeko DC to CD 40 amp charger from Ebay, to be fair, at a very very good price, and fitted that to the Jeep, as I did not want to risk messing with the Jeep electrics.

Basically, you hard wire (via a fuse) it to the main battery, and "again via another fuse" to the second battery. It steps the voltage up to 13.8 v, even when the input is as low as 11v or so. It has a remote switch to turn it on and off, and in the case of the one I bought, can stick up to 40 amps into the second battery, meaning it brings it up to charge pretty quickly. Mine is controlled via the ignition, but I also have a switch, so I can turn it off on those cold start mornings, and allow the main battery to get the best charge to start with.

I highly recomend them as the best way to do split charging on modern cars.

I was mainly in the loft finishing off the network cab build that I've been working on.

Pics to come in the other thread :naughty

Tried to do some more on my camper conversion but weather is holding me back as I don't have anywhere under cover to work. Work carried out so far! Done sound deadening apart from the floor a wheel arches, run conduit and cable for electrics, nearly completed that. Cut in 2 side windows, a automatic roof vent and fitted solar panel to roof and run cables ready for connection.
Slow but steady [emoji106]

I've really got into mountain biking this year, Trail riding mainly. Great to just be able to ride where you want. Bridleways, Restricted byways, Footpaths :augie even stuff not even marked on maps.

Went out exploring and clearing trails Sunday. Last weekend competed in a non serious 25 mile race with beer stops, Very wet but great fun!

Awesome, I've got well into my bike too since I started Movembering.
I've a very similar bike to yours but not as much time for the wilds at the mo.
Keep at it mate, I'll get some more training done and join you one day :)

I have been mainly setting up shop.
That is retail, with my repurposed and upcycled tat to till , I hope :)
We had hoped to open this weekend but early next weeknow.
All hours and no money at the mo, so you can guess no Patrol action at all :(
Never mind, I have great fun all day making stuff .
Just hope I can find some punters now :D

I’ve seen the photos on faceache Pete, it’s all looking great mate. I’ve shown photos around at work and people seem to love what you are making. I can only wish you the very best of luck with the shop mate, it’s a great idea.:thumbs

As for me I’ve been fitting LEDs and down lighters into The headlining of my van. Just need to solder the wiring this morning and stick some recycled plastic insulation to the top side of the lining and clip it into place.
I’ve had my van battery on charge overnight and hoping to go camping in the van overnight which I’m looking forward to, bushcraft tv tonight for me:thumbs
