It’ll be an excellent companion to the camper conversion :thumbs
All you need then is some nice ex army canvas to make awnings :thumbs
Had a play around with my trailer build at the weekend.

Next job is to build a frame to mount the body to the trailer chassis.

Looks interesting, Rick
This is something I've always wanted to do! (Not that Im skilled enough to do something like this!)
A lifted Patrol camper trailer would look awesome, from the windscreen back! Quite roomy too I bet!
Really looking forward to see this project finished! :bow

You could build one mate no worries, might be expensive to buy another trol to just chop up tho, saying that you could probably make more than your money back parting one out :nenau

Atleast you've ditched the t1 rear axle. best bet is on a braked trailer chassis
as looks like you have.
Always thought most fun is keeping the trailer looking the most like the tug
so discreet warning triangles, mind check that out as seeing many artics without
them, started with Dutch wagons and saw a domestic trailer without them.
Also maybe just for fun leaving a towbar on it's back end, well never know could
try to create a mini road train, recall the army sankey trailers often had a rear
nato too, perhaps they could lash them up in military service or off the public
highway?
Other option if leaving a real axle is have a PTO to drive it like Military green
ovals, mind they had a tendency to jack knife or force tug to roll over, hmm
maybe best left to history....
A few good ideas there Richard :thumb2
Yep I'm building it onto a proper braked trailer chassis.
Will have to look at the regs with regards to warning triangles but always thought this was a legal requirement :nenau

page 48 useful definition of trailers. I didn't know these til now

This reads that triangles are only legal on trailers but doesn't say are compulsory on trailers though reflectors non specific are. Most sites say triangles are needed but I'll ask on some truck pages
