This is an Opel GT I drove couple of new ones back from Harwich to Derby. They were a special import at the time so had to be collected in person by the Dealerships. We sold them to US personnel mainly who worked at RR Nuclear in Derby or were based at US Air Force Bases near Manchester.

They did not drive as well as they looked being based on the old Kadett B floor plan with a 1900 cc short pushrod engine. The concealed headlamps were manually operated by a hand brake type lever between the seats. The lamps rotated not up and down but turned on a vertical type axis so they rotated - the mechanism was quite heavy so you operated them when stationary!

A nice Jenson CV8 shame they had no power steering as they were a beast to drive.

I loved the Daimler Dart - I think it was the only glass fibre bodied vehicle that Daimler built for mass production. Engine was a Jaguar 2.5 Litre V8 - an E type beater in a straight line only. Back end was very happy!

A Piper GTT I think the kit was based on Ford running gear. The side windows were fixed Perspex so they were a bit of a Greenhouse in the summer, no aircon I believe.
