I’m amazed Nissan haven’t copyrighted the formula for the plastic they make interior trims from. Think it mist be made of teflon cos nothing sticks to it:nenau

Nothing self adhesive seems to stick to the interior plastics of my trucks, can only think it must be both my trucks have been polished with that horrible silicone trim polish at some point in their lives.

I have some great strips of LEDs that are mounted on 3m self adhesive pad, thought to my self what a great idea to stick them under the edge of the trims that hold the parcel shelf. Even cleaned with alcohol but still the same. I’ve had this same problem with both trucks before now sticking all kinds of stuff with the same results.

Miffed!

I would but not practical with the LED strips, typical had them around for ages but thought it was a good idea to use them finally.

I got some sticky back electrical duct on my dash for odd bits, did not stay there for long but a bead of silicone sealer along the edge has lasted for a long time and shows no sign of failing, Rick

I would try a bit of wire wool or sand paper just to rough it up a little first

Clivvy swears by this stuff. I'd not heard of it until I purchased Clive's truck.

I was just about to post a result.

Ended up scoring panel with a sharp knife and then stuck the LED strip on the panel and then hot glue gun which appears to be holding it down pretty well. Doesn’t look particularly tidy but it’s on the underside of a panel so can’t be seen.
