Just collected my Merc AMG Replica wheels from Derby Wheels they did a fantastic job, the wheels were all true and all the kerb scuffs have gone full powder coating inside & outside for a reasonable £65 per wheel.
Just need to decide on the rubber before winter.

When I have bought the tyres I plan to do a photoshoot, the gaffer was shocked to see I had them done in Gold rather than Silver finish - the adjective she used was "It's a bit Bling" luckily I have no idea what the term bling means .lol
On the tyre front I was looking at some Autogreen (Chinese) 235/40 R 18 XL W rated @£200.36 for all four fitted & balanced to save money.
Common sense will probably prevail then will go for the same make as we now have on the 17" wheels - Uniroyal Rainsport 3 Asymetricals these are a jump to £420 for four so it's double the price.
I dread making decisions on tyre brands as the choice / price range is so huge. Our Jeep WK has Cooper Discovery A/T 3 tyres that were quite new when we bought the vehicle.
I do not off road except for the odd muddy fishing venue but I would not buy Cooper tyres myself as they seem noisy for normal road use.
I suspect they are great in a muddy field, they are about 15% worn so I will just have to get used to them. Our Jeep WK is on Goodyear Wranglers - they seem to suit the vehicle and are not daft money.
They will probably look less bling in daylight on the car, would have looked really bling with a polished rim! I now avoid the budget tyres if possible as they never seem to last very long, particularly on the heavier vehicles we have had. Had a couple that seemed to be porous and leak slowly too, one of which was on a steel rim. :nenau

They have done a superb job there and I can't wait to see them on the car :naughty
Please don't go for budget tyres :( We entrust some of the most dangerous and intimate moments in our lives to rubber in hope that it will protect us :lol :lol Get good quality rubber :p

I will go for some good rubber at present the two front runners are Uniroyal Rainsport 3 or if I can get them on offer Michelin Cross Climates.
Cross climates would make a half decent winter tyre as a bonus - this is for a car that we only use in the summer - and we avoid rain!

I LOVE the tread pattern on those, it's quite different to what you usually see and by all accounts they are very good tyres too :thumb2
