question

When we insured our Nissan Terrano 2 2004

insurance struggled to find from reg Number

it comes up as a Nissan 5 door hatch back on log book engine size is right and diesel

on green slip if we sell it says Nissan silver tax class diesel car.

just booked in for replacement windscreen with autoclass same again struggling to find the car, it very basic only had two owners same name so farther and son owners, its a nissan terrano 2 no side steps not a SE or touring, it was registered in Wales so some Welsh on log book when reading at sales garage. come back in english.

should we ring D V L A And ask some questions I dont think anything we change just looks like lack of detail on log book.

I’d be questioning DVLA and maybe something in writing from them.

Could be something simple like it had private plates before you bought it.

Has it been imported our r3mR was like that, also our SL can't be found on most parts databases as it was imported to the UK from Germany tax free by a Squaddie full uk spec. When a vehicle is imported if the details are not fully entered on the V5/5 especially if there is no type approval certificate when it is registered in the UK. You can check if its a import as on the front outer page of the V5 section 3 near the bottom will have an entry that gives you the information.

Also as has been said if the vehicle has been on a cherished plate some details are not always transferred over correctly as it is a manual operation where the data is entered by the clerk at Swansea. If this is the case you can have it fixed F.O.C. by the DVLA.
