Overall I'm quite happy with the result. Not as dark as I wanted, but I knew it wouldn't be, hence the Solarplexius panels that are on their way from Sweden that I can remove in winter :thumb2

Can you see my dog? She's looking at you :lol

Is the spare wheel cover covered in a blue film that you cant bring yourself to remove:lol

Does look good. Did they ask you what level of tint you wanted?

It looks great, pretty much like the factory tint shade.

Can't go wrong with tinted windows! Well, kind of. The car looks great, Pete. What's next on the agenda? If anything.

Thank you :) :)

Yup, it's the protective film that's dried on & is now a beep to remove as it just flakes in tiny pieces :lol :lol

The cover was used on my old truck & it looked ok as the two shades went well together, but looks awful on the new one :o :o :lol

Yes mate.
I just said the darkest you have. I recall when we used "Limo Black" way back in the nineties, it was proper dark, but I guess different manufacturers have different ideas of shade.
The film he used was classed as "Limo Black" & was USA made.

Next is to fill the dent & spray. I won't be posting any pictures of my work in progress as I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing & I'll make an arse of myself :lol :lol

I've been viewing youtube for tips & procedure :bow :lol

I've pushed most of the dent out, but the steel is stretched & the paint has come off.
It's been covered in chain lube for a few weeks to stop any rust forming :lol :lol

That does look good, I was quoted £160 a while back and might just go for it.

Also, what make are the wind deflectors? They also set it off nicely :thumb2

I was thinking of getting some at some point myself.

Those deflectors look like Heko brand about £30 from eBay for a Terrano, got same brand on Skoda. I think they look neat.

Jim’s right Martin. Heko. Brilliant lookers for the money and a smaller profile and flatter to the glass than factory.
I had some on mine at the weekend.

Thanks to you too fella :thumb2

Yes correct Jim & Davey Boy. Heko.

You can buy them for all four window, just the rears or just the fronts.

Very useful when it's hot as you can leave all four windows down slightly & no one knows :thumbs

Also when it rains too, though not a good idea when the snow blowing as last winter my dog was in the back whilst I was working. When I came to the truck to come home, I had nearly 6" of snow on the passenger seat :lol :lol

Our old r3mR had the mirror effect tinted windows when we bought it they were really neat looking, even went over the heater rear window and it worked fine.

Yours look really good was it expensive I am guessing around £140 mark ?

My new mav has got those heko deflectors but one of them is loose. What have you guys used to secure them? Some type of sticky pad or double sided tape?

Hi, i have always used good quality double sided tape, the Team Heko deflectors came with a few bits already attached but I added more. Then I used the clips supplied that look to be the same as the ones in the link below. My first set had the metal clips as in the link, but the set I put on the Honda had plastic ones. The plastic ones are thicker so have been letting in a little wind noise.

As Tom said, a good double sided tape or thin foam double sided worked for me.
Once in position without the taped side touching anything, just ram the window shut.

that's a nice looking job on the tint, truck looks mint too.
I am off to buy those deflectors, mine are shocking big ugly things that get ripped off in the tight bush tracks we play on. thanks for sharing.

cheers
