So what is everyone getting up to this weekend.
Can you guess what I’m doing today :doh
Incidentally another subtle change on the later trucks is the screws on the cover are round headed Phillips type not hex like the older style. Good news is one screw actually came out thanks to uncles advice. I’m shocked that the remainder I managed to drill out without even snapping a drill bit:eek:
Currently elbow deep in oil in the engine bay of Terrance trying to wrestle his turbo off him but he's holding on tight!!!!
Pics incoming on the other thread this evening :doh

Laying on a nice comfy bench seat in a caravan in Carew watching the tide come in over the salt marshes, nice hot cappachino in one hand and phablet in the other... very chilled.

Very little really Rick but best check things thoroughly eh ☺ Port engine glow plug relay. Rudder mech adjustment. Engine throttles alignment. Assorted winches. Outboard motor still giving me grief but all sailing equipment now done and tested.

Today is a recovery day for me, I was on a stag do over the weekend. Good laugh and it has been many years since I left a night club at 3am and hopefully will be many many more years before I do it again.
Pleased i kept my alcohol levels to a sensible level though, the day/evening had the potential for much messiness. I am usually okay during the night out but suffer really badly with hangovers if things get out of hand and at £5.20 for a bottle of lager or £2.50 for a lemonade it was refreshingly cheaper to drink soft drinks. Have to say i do enjoy this being a little bit older and wiser thing, it does at times make life so much easier and a lot less painful.
I got back yesterday afternoon and was straight into playing with my kids on the beach. So booking today off work was definitely a good move.

Don’t know about sensible. I’ve just discovered a pub 10 mins walk from my house that does real ale at £2 a pint. It’s ace for my once a week night out with a mate

Now that sounds like a good pub :)
With drink I used to be more of a quantity over quality kind of guy but now I am definitely quality over quantity. That has opened up the world of real ales to me as being a cider then lager man law's were just too heavy to drink ten of. I have had my fun and have my stories of silly drunken adventures but now much prefer a couple of relaxed Ales by a winter pub fire or a summery beer garden.
Just occasionally though if the company is right and the stars align (missus and kids away, no driving, work or responsibilities the following day) it is nice to push those self imposed boundaries a little and see what happens :D

Unfortunately my son builds micro brewery equipment and occasionally has to go out and fit the kit in breweries. Sadly as part of this he is given samples to bring home, I some times have to help him grade the samples for quality control.

Oh, you poor poor man, such burdens and yet here you are a shining inspiration of strength and positivity despite such weighted adversity :).
Tell me, was this a career path you chose and selflessly funded for your son or did he pick it himself? :lol
