Pathfinder airbag module p/n 0285001781 is there a difference between the modules 98820 EA51B and 98820 EA51C? I need to replace my module but need to know if it matters about the b or the c. Mine is a 2005 both modules seem to be for 05-10 cars, cheers in advance

Looks like no one here has the answer, I would be giving Nissan a ring, they will know, but I would think that if you have a "C" then it will need to be replaced with a "C" etc, for instance on the Terrano the sensor can be in the steering wheel or under the centre console etc, Rick

A lot of manufacturers rationalise part numbers over time so sometimes a later part can fit different models retrospectively so you get superseded part numbers sometimes as the part supplier changes sometimes through changes in electrical design.

I had a replacement genuine Mercedes OVP relay fitted to my old 260E the new relay had fewer spade connections than the original but worked perfectly.

With something as important as an air bag module I would get the current part number for your particular model and source that part.

As you may know one of the biggest manufacturers of air bag systems "Takata" had a massive world wide recall affecting the bulk of vehicle manufacturers involving millions of vehicles. There are firms that will repair such modules.
