HI all, recently got a 3 ltr SVE, 2003, 90,000 miles, after bending my 2.7T, "beyond economic repair", a shame, as it was going well, after some extensive welding under the rear seats, a couple of years ago. Gone to a good home though, now retrieving gliders at my Gliding Club.
Have an occasional problem with gear selection with new car, some times it is difficult to select&/or change gear. Any suggestions welcome, please.

Assuming it's manual, have you replaced gear oil with correct spec? Mind you autos like their oil changing too.

I'm guessing the gearbox oil isn't on any history that you have. Sorry I can't tell you exact spec of oil to use but the oil is my first thoughts.
Hi and welcome matey, got I own 3 of the beats now, x2 2.7's Mk2 + Mk4 and a Mk4 3 Litre which really still belongs to my Grandad but it looks like he's bequeathed upon me :nenau :doh
Is the clutch pedal returning to the normal position and if you get your toe under it can you pull it up further?
Where's your bite point in comparison to pedal travel?
From there get yourself under the truck and while somebody is pressing the clutch pedal, inspect the slave cylinder and pipe for wear and correct movement, it's on the drivers side, on the underside of the gearbox, just under the drivers side door :thumb2
Try those for starters and report back :thumb2
Lovely story about the old one going to glider heaven by the way, that's an awesome retirement home for an injured Terrano :lol
Get some pics of both of the motors and get joined up with the membership mate, have you ever been green laning in yours? :naughty
