I've decided that I'm going to buy a Automower.

Not only that, I'm going to put my ugly mug on Youtube and keep a video diary of it's progress.

Here's the 1st video: https://youtu.be/JbO7oNihKo4

If you or any one you know are interested in these, then it may be worth watching. :thumb2

Very interesting. Not sure why you need the robot, only seemed to take you 20 seconds to mow the grass.

By the way, what does time lapse mean?

Due to our Chihuahuas turning our small garden into a winter mud bath we initially slabbed and paved the rear garden. Now we have put down some artificial grass that we bought from Morrison's and so far so good. I just give it a quick hoovering with our George Cleaner and hose off any mishaps.

That is a lot of green grass though. What's your story. Loads of kids with no toys, dogs with no feet, you've made your fortune designing and building a new 'hammer' for the Olympic games (obviously you have someone to catch it)???

Seeing the video reminded me of when I lived in Alrewas back in the mid 70's. Our garden was 3/4 of an acre and about 1/3 of it was lawn.
I spent hours walking behind our old Atco Petrol Power Rotary with a 21" cut with no grass box.

I swore when I moved I would try to avoid grass and mostly succeeded - now I have a very low maintenance garden and have not had a lawn for the last 15 years.

I love to see the stripes of a well kept lawn. The end.

Live there with my diabetic cat and my Son visits on the weekend.

I'm in the middle of designing the new Hammer, but the cat is not a good catcher!

Luckily I don't need a fortune as I live up North and land is cheap! :naughty

Ok, now I'm worried!
All that land and a lovely looking pad but I can see no workshop or even a shed!?
I'm starting to think you're not a real man:eek: scrub that, not human. Even my wife had her own shed!
Although she's more manly than me...:lol you wouldn't have to worry about hammer dents in you're lawn. They'd clear the hedge:augie

Jay666d

Yeah, right over the hedge... I'm not worried about my neighbours lawn!

My 'workshop' is under whelming, but the potential is there. Just looking for the time to sort it out! :augie

Many years ago I worked with a bloke who was fanatical about his lawn. Fed it, weeded it, scarified it, aerated it. It was a masterpiece, up there with bowling greens and high star golf greens. He only wore slippers when he walked on it, the kids and wife weren't allowed on it. He even had a special vacuum cleaner for picking up the loose clippings the mower bucket missed.

About 12 months after he had it perfected it his wife left him and the 20something two kids went with her.

He couldn't fathom it.

In fairness it probably wasn't just the lawn issue.

His wife was allowed to open the freezer once a day. If the kettle was boiled, the remaining hot water had to be put into a thermos for later use.

He was a smashing bloke to work with a top rate electrician, but by f**k he was an anal nut case!
