Welcome to the best site for Terranos and Mavericks, you are going to find some interesting stuff on site, that is really going to save you ££££'s
You can really keep these trucks going, mine is 22 years old and flew through a recent MOT. :thumb2
But they do need some care.
You will get the most out of the site if you pay your £10, workshop downloads access to a vast amount of information on maintenance upgrades or just plain friendly banter, with a few jokes thrown in.
Welcome.
Uncle Rustic :thumb2
Welcome mate, have a look at my project thread once you've subscribed.
I too own a highly modified 2004 SWB Van in Silver, mines also running on 100% Vegetable Oil at the moment :)

If you are brush/roller painting, depending on finish and expense people were talking about using Raptor Spray on truck body panels a while back. Don't know if anyone has done it though?

Thanks for the welcome, Im not to far from Mold, I will use the Terrano for lots of things really , defiantly off road, also as my Dog truck when Im shooting. Im just thinking about removing the Transfer box to have a look at it as it won't go in to low?
Got a new second hand back door to go before I paint it.

I'm within spitting distance down in that there Chester village. Have you got knowledge of local lanes?

Yes done a few in the past , most of the big mid wales ones, and Ceriog valley. Always a good day out.
Quick note, to go into low ratio, you have to push lever downwards, before pushing backwards.
If that doesn't work, the mechanism is on the top of the box, so easily accessible, as they do sieze up if they are not used. Lashings of WD 40 and exercise helps.
Rarely a need to remove the transfer box.:thumb2
Hope it helps,
Rustic

Hiya mate and welcome, Banshee on here had exactly the problem with his, if I recall he sorted it easily but I can't remember what he did.
Only reason I remember is he didn't give his truck a fulll re-build to sort it, which is quite unusual for our Banshee, he's a bit thorough :D
As for the roller painting, when I was on the vw t4/t5 forum when I had a t4 loads of people did it with some very good results, just don't pick a crap colour like silver :hide: :thumbs

I'm pretty sure it was just from lack of use that it was stuck.
Sounds like you're gonna have fun with it anyway, they're brilliant motors, just got to catch the rust in time. What engine 2.7, or 3.0, manual or auto?, and lets have a pic or two :)
Oh p.s., take the side steps off, they have been officially classed as girly :D
