Check the fluids and if all good take it for a drive and give it the berries. Should go like the clappers. The auto box needs checking when hot though but it's not very accessible. Same side as engine oil but next to the bulk head.
3 speed and overdrive (button on gear selector).
I love mine:)

Hi,
If it's got a tow-bar ,try the box when engine cold at light throttle 1 > 2 upshift, they can be a bit slow / harsh, try it in normal & sport!! modes seen a few with blocked oil strainers & bad clutch packs.

Yes when cold it's a bit harsh between 1 as 2 but when warm it should be silky.

Mine is a little slow on 1 to 2 upshift when cold, but soon warms up and is fine then....

Mine's a manual, but the engines are solid enough. Apparently early 3.0ltrs had some issues, but they were all sorted way before the one your looking at.

well pleased sills solid wings solid anchor points and boot floor solid.
mot last week, new big battery, new alternator, new rad but all 4 tyres getting low so today my tyre chap has ordered 2 goodyear wrangler a/t for me 225 fitted, only little bit of damage to ns rear bumper easily done by me,i only got 100 off as he new it was at a selling price and he just moved xmas so cant warrant 2 cars for his 5ml a day work trip.

first trip was 128 miles then 70 home on a tank full, ouch not used to putting full derv in to fill 70 ltre as light on so 10ltr still in tank, got home and filled up to brim and worked out to just over 35mpg at times over 70 but most 65 so pleased.
i have never found out how to post picks.
the blue 98 t2 that i took off roading with some of you that i fitted new steel wings and having sill/inner sill done now and should be moted next week will be up for sale but it wont be cheap as all welding etc done but if someone wants a first time starter reliable 4x4 pm me. banshee and others have seen it.

I'm really surprised you've gone for the 3.0 litre though as you're a devout wvo man, you wait till I grass you up on the other forum :lol Just kidding your secret is safe with me.
You are going to have to dig deeper than you have been to fuel the beast now mate but on the other hand I'm sure you'll enjoy not having to faff around with dirty veg now, I don't miss it one bit.
As for uploading photo's I did a write up on it a while ago, easy once you've done it a few times pal;

That's it mate, once you've clicked on the IMG code it should flash yellow and the link will be in your clipboard cache, you just need to go into your forum post and press Ctrl + V or right click and paste.
You'll then see the image in place of the code once you've submitted your post :thumb2

now another one just turned up.
oil warning light is now staying on done 300mls now, checked oil ok took oil filler off of top and plenty of oil.
looked on workshop pages ond found how to change switch, the high speed one above starter motor, got yellow band.
went to factors for correct oil, mineral so got that at home, they only show 1 switch.did some research and 1 is 15 the other is 25,what one is what and on fbay only 1 is showing, well loads but the 15 one i think so is it a nissan part.

My Grandad's has had the low pressure oil switch replaced, I have the invoice for it at home as it was done at Nissan.
I'll get the part number for you when I'm home :thumb2
