Hi guys hows it going just registered not strictly my car that I'm talking about but we have 2 a 2012 x-trail tekkna and a 2013 navara I'm sure that is also a tekkna starting the new forum with a plea for help,
since the new apple iOS update the bluetooth in both cars has stopped working correctly.
when a call comes in it comes up on the screen and rings thats fine but when i use the control or touch the screen to answer the audio is routed back to the iPhone and only after i hit source on the iPhone select handset then hit my car does he audio re-route to the car.
but when making a call this works fine from the car
any ideas i've exhausted google..
called nissan who say they have never heard of this issue and that they could try and update the system and charge but have no idea how much it would be until after they have done the updates.

Welcome matey, it's not strictly allowed but we're a friendly enough bunch and will always help a fellow struggling Nissan driver in distress, who knows you may then join up and be part of the family :nenau
So after the update to your device (I presume iOS 10?) did you have to re-initiate a Bluetooth partnership with the headunit in the truck? If not, I would go into the phone bluetooth settings and "forget" the car headunit and then try and re-join to it, I would see if there is a way for the headunit to scan for a new device in the settings to re-establish the partnership but if there's no option then just do it from the phone.
2nd follow up question, have you tried to pair up someone else's phone to the truck and does it behave in the normal manner or the same as your iPhone?

For the OP, don't forget that what we lack in technical know how, we make up for in humour.
I think.

How do & welcome :thumb2
In the OS update there will also be a Bluetooth update too, to the latest Bluetooth 5.
Your vehicles are on the old version. You can download an app that will operate on the older version (if crapple do apps as I've never owned anything by them).
This should solve your problem.

Shouldn't need a 3rd party app, should step down and use the older protocol.

I don't know then Zak :nenau :nenau
I had to download an app with the hands free in the Monaro. I had exactly the same problem after an update.

I suspect that Crapple can sell you exactly what you need.

That's odd!!! Maybe there are odd occurrences like that with specific models. I've had a similar issue in my Terrano with the Parrot that seem to have magically fixed themselves after system updates.
Funny enough on the same subject I just installed Android 7.0 Nougat on my Galaxy S7, crickey it looks different :doh

I wish I hadn't bothered. I preferred the older version. I'm all for change as long as the change is needed
I'm all for the security updates, but as for system changes= Nooooooooooooooooooooo :(
