Whilst pootling around another forum, no I'm not being unfaithful (model railways), someone had posted this little gem of a link.

I've ordered one, worth a punt at that price I thought. I'll let you know what it's like in a few weeks when (if?) it turns up.

Be very interested to see what it performs like, I have had endoscopes for the last 6 years, getting on for £1000.00 a throw but the jobs that they were used on paid for themselves, still got both but damaged heads and not worth the cost of repairs, at the price you have found I will buy 2 if the resolution is good enough, also a bit concerned at the focal length at 600mm is quite long, for the most part the stuff I want to see is around 100 to max 300mm, wait with in trepidation, but might just buy anyway at that price, Rick

I got one a few months back, 5 metre long... not had to use it in Ernest, but for the sake of a fiver, I thought it would be a useful addition to the tool box... can be a bit temperamental to get the phone and it talking, but once it working, it seems pretty good.

Hi Rick, focal length is 6cm or 60 mm according to the info.
You could do your own colon inspection  best get two then lol.
You could shove it down your sills and chassis for internal inspections.
Into your turbo, may be have a look at the clutch, could you move the rubber clutch actuator aside to have a look lol.
You can always drill a few holes in the bell housing, fit a bung in after a quick look around.
Maybe have a look to see if the interior heating matrix is really leaking.
I have the Aldi one with it's own colour screen, handy for looking under floor boards to see where the pipes really are. Problem with this one is the cable cover is quite stiff so you have to guess and prebend it first.
Also handy for looking into the bilge partitioned areas on the boat. or what's fallen behind the cooker lol.

Hi Rustic, I must have had my bi focals on when I read that, thought 600mm was a bit long for such a device, thank's for pointing that out, makes it much more attractive now, Rick

Now that's a good idea!!!! You could remove the rubber gaitor around the slave and feed it in to inspect the clutch
