So I've removed my air filter and I'm trying to remove the air box...

3x fasteners removed from inside the engine bay, there seems to be 3 more on the underside with captive bolt accessed from the wheel arch?

The problem is, they don't seem to be captive at all. When I go to loosen them, the whole lot just spins. :doh

Anybody got any ideas? Am I doing it wrong?

I ended up grinding mine off and fitting it with new bolts.

I used 6mm hex bolts nuts and spring washers, just slide the hex bolt into the slots on the air box then washer and nut underneath and bobs your uncle

From memory the wheel arch ones have strange rubber nit type fittings which required lots of back and forth on the ratchet to get them off :doh

Remember and put a blob of silicon in the air box drain hole :thumb2

Probably already been though of but make sure it's all waterproofed when it goes back on, what about coach bolts with large heads? Then I'd probably sealant and paint :nenau
