Hi all can anyone with a SWB do me a little measuring please.

With the rear seat back rests folded forward can you measure the distance between the tailgate and the back of the front seats. Both with the front seat pushed all the way back and also the seat pushed all the way forward.

Cheers

You still need it tonight? If tomorrow morning is OK, can do - no light outside now, and freezing rain :)

You need inside measurements, as in till the doorcard of the tailgate?

Yes you got the idea Roel.

No hurry really just toying with ideas for the minute. It all started because I saw a great 3litre van yesterday but it sold same day.

Say what!? It's a poor show just because of freezing rain and darkness:augie

If mine was swb I'd be out there sorting it for you jim :lol

I would too, if I didn't have a nasty flue at the moment. Bluntly said, cannot be very far from toilet facilities at the moment...

Hopefully tomorrow medicines kick in :)

Toying with different ideas Uncle, Id have to kill you if I told you :lol:lol:lol

Quite like a terrano van, can't take many people with me which is an adVANtage:lol

Had to go out to turn the genny off, so popped a tape in my pocket, my off road Mav has 1300 at the top of the back rest (which is laying back a bit cos I have long arms) so at seat cushon level you will prob gain 50mm or so, my seat is pretty much full back ( I am 6ft), guess judging by the slidders that you could gain 100mm on that, but could not put the seat forward as my slidders rusted up long ago, so you could get I recon 1500 with a bit of seat sponge compression, Rick

Cheers Rick.

Haha Don Simon, not sure it would make a camper.

Thinking about some kind of bench to mount radio equipment, drive to top of hills and play radio.

Jim,

this is what I measured, from the pivot point of the front seats till the front of the plastic "loading lip". Measurements till actual doorcard between brackets. Mind you, the door and the "lip" are curved towards the corners of the car, that's why the center distance is greater.

Right next to wheel arch
- seats back: 140,5 cm (145,5 cm)
- seats forward: 161,5 cm (166,5 cm)

Center line of the car:
- seats back: 143 cm (147 cm)
- seats forward: 165 cm (169 cm)
