Welcome.
Here's a small list of the fun and games that some of the guys have had.

There's a Wiltshire meet that was featured in last month's Total Off Road magazine somewhere. http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27020&highlight=wiltshire

There'll be plenty of advice on whether a stocker will suffice, but it won't be long until you're looking a upgrades though.
EDIT:
You'll probably have to pay 3 pints worth of a tenner to get access to read those threads, well worth it just to find out who's had their truck the longest.

Hi and welcome. I done my first green laning with this lot in a standard truck. No problems but it was dry and dusty:cool: the next time was muddy in places and great fun. Only difference I made was 31" tyres. :naughty

Welcome aboard!
thanks for the reply i live in the south west mon to fri due to work, i go back to the south east at weekends.
ive been greenlaning alone but im all too aware of the danger of having a issue in the middle of nowhere. according to the os maps there is more open land in the south west to explore.

Standard truck is plenty mate, I did the horse shoe lane with a 2" suspension lift and 30" tyres, Blocky10 with just 31" tyres and solarman216 with even less. When I said I did the horse shoe lane, the "encouragement" from the lads was paramount, cos I was crapping myself :lol Look up horse shoe lane (also called the b4$tardlane) on youtube, and pay the tenber joining fee, it is well worth it, the most genuine, knowledgeable and friendly forum in the world :thumb2
I've just watched the Horse Shoe Video.... I wanna go! :naughty

The Wales weekend was great. Great bunch of knowledgeable friendly folk.
Horse shoe lane was mental. With lifts and bigger tyres you'd be ok. Standard truck would struggle a little and you'd need a good spotter or two, which we had:thumbs
There was talk of a winter trip to Wales! :naughty and doing horse shoe lane in the opposite direction. Winches and helpers would be needed too.

Closer to you and the lanes are on a par with wales:cool:

Probably won't be until the new year until I organise another run but hopefully heading up to the Yorkshire moors over the Xmas holidays:thumb2
