View Full Version : Got a bit stuck on Saturday

Went to the local offroad site on Saturday (first time in a while and first time since I'd had the Lokka fitted). Was going well without much of a hitch, even successfully managed the big pond that I had avoided up until now... but then it happened!

Smaller pond that I'd been through fine before albeit about a year and a half ago. Straight in all going fine and then that sudden slowdown and stop that we all dread :doh

Tried everything I could driving technique wise and then (much to my two passengers amusement ) realised I'd have to get out and find a winch point. Looked out the window... water above the bottom of the door so crawled through to the boot as the boot door is higher up. Realised the childlock must be on when I couldn't get it open!

As I winched out I realised what had happened - bellied on soft mud!

Enjoy the pics, thank goodness for winches and long straps :lol

Interior is a bit soggy, central locking isn't working (alarm still is though so think it's the relay at fault) and the rear demist isn't working but that's all :thumb2 Trol power!

Carpets are now 2 thirds removed :lol

He'll be finding wet patches for months and random piles of silt [emoji38]

Not so luxurious anymore, thought these trolls weren't meant to get stuck :nenau :naughty

Exactly! :lol

Cheers guys, yeh pretty chuffed at managing to self recover.

Trol's can get stuck same as everyone else Zac, just maybe not as often as some silver Terranos :p ;)

Carpets were like a big sponge and have been binned as nowhere to store them or dry them out. Thinking to get some rubber matting and cut to fit or else some of the stuff they use for coating pickup beds, thoughts? :nenau

Hi,
Congrats on the recovery. I would be sleeping in the shed for a month if I brought the Terrano home like that:)

I have used Horse stable rubber matting to cut matts/ flooring out of before different thickness and can withstand everything a horse can drop on it (if you get my meaning) and still wash off clean and smell free.

Looks like you had a lot of fun:thumb2
My carpets got binned along time ago for the exact same reason.
Rubber matting in mine now.
P.S tell Allison to invest in some wellies:lol

Thanks for the matting suggestions Thomas61, missus wasn't too bothered as I've got a runabout for commuting as well :lol

Elty I passed on your suggestion to Alison :augie I did have lots of fun :thumbs and it's good to know the Trol can come out of a flooding like that relatively unscathed!

The speakers did survive thanks Doug, one of the first things I checked once I was out!
