On the up side the bank account is not as empty as usual!

Truck's running fine...
...absolutely filthy, but fine.
She's been parked at front of house, we're in the country and we've just had harvest.

You think you've got big wheels, we've just got back from a week in Arizona, saw some pickups floating about with suspension and body lifts that make your silver skateboard look like a go-cart!
Couldn't get any photos as unfortunately never had camera or phone handy at the right time.

The best one had fold down steps to get into the truck!

Hot and dry!
It's a uniquely interesting area. We've been to Pheonix before a few years ago. We went north up through Wickenburg, Sedona and up to Monument Valley and then down through Winslow, Arizona (as in The Eagles song, and yes there was a girl in a flat bed ford!). In that trip you go from desert, up in altitude into a lush green plateau, and then on to the Monument Valley scenery. It has a lot of various aspects.
When we returned to Pheonix after Winslow, we then did a day trip to Tucson to see the Pima Aerospace museum, epic doesn't come close: 3 x B52's outside along with about 30 other aircraft, six hangars of planes and helicopters including an SR71 Blackbird! From there we took a trip round "The Boneyard" which is where the USAF stores a few thousand aircraft, all mothballed and useable in 72hrs.
So this time we stayed down in Tucson for a few days to visit the Titan Missile museum. A unique experience to be that close to a 56Megatonne yield ICBM (de-commisioned of course!).
Also visited Tombstone. Yes, that Tombstone, sight of the OK Corral gunfight between the Earp's and the Clantons.
So yes, if you can take the heat, great place to visit.

Awesome, but never mind visit, I want to live there :D, I've done some research but I don't torture myself too much :lol I wouldn't make any decisions until my boy is old enough to decide propery if he wanted to come with!!
It looks like a great place, and like you say, you could go for a ski session then a drive later be in mid twenty to thirties heat, my kinda place :thumb2

Property prices are quite high (apparently), and in the outlying areas of Pheonix (Cave Creek etc.) there is a lot of "second homes" which are empty for 60% of the year.
On the whole a pleasant place to go!
Eating out has got expensive though, when we first went to the States fifteen years ago you could get a 22oz Porterhouse steak for $10, this time round they were asking $45 !!!
