Hi guys,
I am trying to disconnect the alarm on my Terrano 2, seems that this is the reason for draining my battery. There is anybody who can suggest what I must do?
Thanks

Hi welcome to the site, is there a specific fuse for the alarm system?
If there is, you could also monitor how much current it is actually taking.
What made you think it was the alarm in the first place?

Not sure there is
No point having one if all you got to do is take a fuse out to stop it working.

I thought it was part of the ecu, so you can't just remove or disable it.

How quickly does it drain and what makes you suspect the alarm is it going off ? Then there are various lights that stay on such as interior, footwell etc.
On my old Terrano r3mR the battery drain turned out to be the alternator that was the culprit but it took 6 months for me to work it out. Eventually after a new battery the RED battery indicator light came on. Transpired someone had put the wrong rectifier pack on the alternator sometime in the past.
