Is there anyone living near Cholsey, Oxfordshire who could pick up 4 wheels with tyres for me IF I can make a deal with the guy selling?
If all goes to plan I will be dragging the caravan out from the 20th so could pick them up then. :naughty

Boom. Now the proud owner of 4 wheels and tyres:clap
Do ya wanna see em next to me truck? :naughty
The geezer was sound as a pound. His boy just turned 16 and wanted a tractor and there it was, sitting next to an old school dumper truck with a 10ft high exhaust stack made from bits from a skip where his mate works as an exhaust and tyre fitter! Amongst a yard full of other in finished projects :clap

That'll be grand Zak :thumb2 I was wondering what I could do for a spare. The only thing I could come up with for the Wales weekend was keep the spare I have now and put another in the boot. If I got a picture I'd change the pair?

Body lift should defo give you clearance for wheels I reckon, but no extra ground clearance.
I have lifted my tow bar higher too and put an adjustable plate on in order to try and keep the van nose down, my van is single axle and I think max weight laden is 1400kg. I would defo not want to pull your beast of a van with its nose up, it would be a very unpleasant ride :o
Suspension wise I'm really happy with how mine drives and I know it won't cause trouble when towing :thumb2

Good news T-Doug.
Being twin axle it is a steady tow with just a little sideways wiggle when white van man screams past. It's 1900kg max and we use every bit of it i reckon :doh Going from standard tyre size to 31s with lift the towball height a touch but not enough to worry about. I've got them 20% stronger springs fitted but to be honest can't say they've made any difference but it's definitely no worse so they'll be staying on.
A 2" body lift will give the tyres a bit more room and that'll be as far as I go with it:naughty don't think I'll be able to get it done before Wales though, but I want to use the wheels and tyres.
You know what it's like though T-Doug :lol

Thanks T-Doug :thumb2 there's a touch of rubbing on the flaps so I'll take a look after a few miles and trim off the rubbed bits.
Going from 17" to 15" rims was no bother although not sure what the off-set difference is :D
Next job Is drill and tap for Ricks front guard with the help of your pictures. Thanks T-Doug :clap
