What vehicle are we talking about Peter? I get about 25mpg from my Patrol 4.2D
And while we're on the subject of mpg, I created this (http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/downloads/fuelconverter.htm) earlier some might find it useful.

I reckon your getting about right MPG, if you take it easier you'll probably get around 30 to 34ish.
We have some past threads regarding the tailgate leak, can't remember which seal it is but one of the members inserted some wire in to the seal to make it a bit thicker.

The only times I've driven real sensible and worked it out properly I've managed 31 to 32 mpg.
Bearing in mind that figure its now just what the ****
I cured my damp boot by painting the door seal with clear waxoyl, a liberal coating in all the folds........smells a bit mind........bri
