View Full Version : camber adjust on front
Had a thought today while doing an Audi tt lower ball joint.... The bolt holes were elongated to adjust camber so you had to mark them so they went back on somewhere near to allow you to get to garage and get camber sorted
Could this be done to top ball joints just so a normally lifted truck like mine could be cambered up somewhere sensible

Makeitfit is the guy for this one, I would of said not easy on the T2 but stand to be corrected by those that know more than I on this subject, Rick
It wouldn't need much just few mm of adjustment would be masses of adjustment on camber

I've done it on mine but I have Calmini top arms. They are thicker and flatter and as such it was an easy job.
On the stock arms I think I'd add a plate for some extra strength before elongating the holes.
This is on my to do list. The shape of the standard arm makes it hard to do but like Pete says with a flat plate with slots in would make this possible.
Pete do you have any pics of your Calmini stuff?
I'd love a set, been in contact already for another episode of "banshee begs for forum discount" :lol

Your the man elty to.do this as bugs the hell out of me I've only gone up 2" but looks like drunk with the camber. I'm sure theres a market for someone to start producing these calmini arms

I haven't got any camber issues and I've gone up 2" but still on 31" tyres :(

MacPherson struts. They go in the bottom where it bolt to hub and allows camber adjustments

Would that be of any use to us then with our camber issues?
We don't have MacPherson struts on these do we?
No we dont bud and no where to put them lol. But on top arm where it bolts to a bar can that be shimed out from chassie to sort camber
