The dip beam on our Jeep is a bit dull though the main beam is OK. They were fitted with the original 51 W dip bulbs so just put a pair of 80 W upgrades in. They are pretty good for £5.91 the pair! Strictly they are for off road use but never had an MoT tester fail me before and I used to use 100/90 W bulbs in my Terrano.

I love my osram nightbreakers as they weren't costly either so much more light & get flashed every week as people think i've got main beam on even tho headlights are aimed perfect but they hide behind their dashes when I flash them back:lol

I like the Osram Nightbreakers but my bulbs are 9006XS dip & a seperate 9005XS main not the H4 type so that limits me. Could not find a listing for Nighbreakers for my model Jeep.

Nightbreakers for me too. Mine are needing replaced now though. I've noticed their performance has severely deteriorated over the last couple of weeks

It'll be interesting hear how you get on with these.

How long have they been in?

Same here id like to see how you get on as I keep looking at getting a set of cree h4s but waiting for someone to try them and let me know how they are

Don't hold your breath:rolleyes: heard of a few fitting them & going back to normal bulbs as the led/cree ones look bright when you look at the lights but they don't cast light far on the road

I think it will take a while for the LED technology to catch up with with Incandescent Light bulb industry not just on price but Lumens Output & actual not claimed longevity.

Its one thing to have an LED that gives out a high light output but if it is not focused in a small area its not going to perform in a headlight beam designed for a conventional bulb.

I have seen how simple household GU10 LED replacements have improved over the last few years. I reckon LED technology needs another 5 years before it reaches full potential.

i have a few cree torches for vanning and a couple that have the magnified lens on end and can confirm that at night the beam goes forever and bright.
the cree bulbs i have have the lens in front so assume will give a good beam.
will just have to see.
