Not the car's fault, but I thought you people might appreciate this (http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/957/Binnenland/article/detail/2496338/2015/10/20/Oeps-brandweer-vergeet-de-handrem.dhtml).
Oostende fire brigade forgot the handbrake on their Defender :)

No, they admitted forgetting the handbrake.
They were en route to check for an oil spill on the beach, from the shipwreck before the Belgian coast. Trailer with lifeboat is standard procedure, they always take it with them.
Apparently no damage, according to the local newspapers.
Would have made it out if it was a SWB :sly :augie
Ach, that'll drive out :lol :lol

Are you sure it wasn't deliberate parking to allow better access to underside for welding/fixing oil leaks etc.
Ahh I know its so they could get to adjust the transmission brake.
Are there any benefits to a transmission brake at all?

We used to fit them to Suzuki 's so that we could convert rear drum brakes to disc so that you didn't have to take drums off to clean after every dirty outing
