Managed to get my rear awning done a couple of weeks ago:D we had a 8x10ft trap which we used to put under our old 4 man dome tent & I had some old gazebo poles in the shed so cut a couple down to the height I wanted but I had to spend a pound on some guide ropes to finish it:doh

Guide ropes go through the awning onto some little hooks which hook onto the rear door handles:thumbs

That's a pretty cool awning, cheap, fast to set up and take down and doesn't take up to much space in the boot

Hey it looks as though it does the job without going to the Pound Shop !!

Looks like it'll do the job.

Just one thing...
If you have any metal eyelets in the tarp that you drag over the roof, either cover them or remove them, as they might scratch the roof, more especially when it's windy.:thumb2

We bought a couple of cheap tarps to cover part of the boat as we had a leaking window, when we removed one of the tarps, the eyelets had rusted, and left a brown run on the grp roof.:doh
The other tarp had aluminium eyelets. :nenau

These are really cheap tarps, one winter and a bit of sun and wind and they are shredded. OK for occasional use, we still have a couple for emergency covers.
They were only a few quid each :augie
