Well that's me back from my coarse/test for my Foundation ham license,and i'm releaved to say that i have past,now just waiting on my call sign from offcom!! so when i come down to some of the meets i'll be able to get in contact!!! :lol: Will still have my cb in the car though :lol: :lol:

Well done Steve, give it about 5 working days from sending your form in and give em a bell. If your call has been issued you should then be able to use it before the paperwork comes through. No time to take it easy, intermediate next m8 :lol:

Hi jim and waterman,i have a mod. tait at the moment that i picked up at a rallie and got converted to 2mtr it only has two channels on it at the moment which are the two local repeaters,selkirk and duns! I am watching a set on the bay and have bought a handheld,just need to get a good twig for the house now,and maybe a better one on the car,and unfortunatly i can only do 10w waterman,mind thats out the back of the box,who to say i could put a big yagi on the house!!! :lol: Maybe get in contact soon!

Hi Waterman, you on 40 or 80? can push 400 watts, (100 mobile) as the cb boys say "keep your ears on"

Jim T, where on HF will you be this weekend, you could be in luck on 2 and 70 theirs a bit of a lift on, look out for GW4SUE Margaret, GW4EZW Margeret (Margaret holds the club call (Newport ARS)) and me GW0FJE.

ps for Jim T, Skye said 88 for Tess, (warning- Mad dog)

Hilltop have a look at the link in one of my earlier posts and you will see why we have a lift and it may get better still -welldone- . We will be operating from tomorrow teatime ish on 2, 70, 20, 40 and 80 for def but we wont know an exact freq until we get going each day. So look out for GB2TractionEngineRally.

Cosmic, are your local repeaters echo linked? give me their callsigns and I'll look em up for you.
