while i was having one of my perusals around ebay i came across this, cheaper than a roof tent but fit do the job perfectly.

Looks simple, but two people could lift it up, and carry you anywhere... especially if you snore lol...
You might end up in the river.:doh

i was thinking more for strapping it to the roof :lol

I once saw a tent awning thing that covered the rear of a hatchback.

Thats interesting but Rustics right, far too easy to get carried away lol

Trekking do one very similar with fittings for a roof rack or roof bars, but they are not as cheap as that, looks like a good buy, as long as it stands up to 70mph!
