View Full Version : A song for all members...
Following on from my surgery, and having too much time on my hands, I thought that a song for me would be Magneto and Titanium man by Wings, well ok it should be ceramic and titanium man but close enough...
:lol
Then there is Alex...well this song by Elvis... "The Wonder of you" must be Alex's tribute to Rick.
I'm not too sure about the third verse.... but he does spend a lot of time down there....:augie
When no one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me love and consolation
You give me hope to carry on
And you're always there
To lend a hand
In everything I do
That's the wonder, the wonder of you
And when you smile, the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your love to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything
I guess I'll never know
The reason why
You love me as you do
That's the wonder, the wonder of you
I guess I'll never know
The reason why
You love me as you do
That's the wonder, the wonder of you
So Rick needs to add some nice back ground music in his workshop...:lol
You'll all be glad when I can start doing jobs again lol...:doh
:lol
Given more time, I'm sure I'll add to this thread lol...
I couldn't leave Briggie out..
So "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something Blue" must collectively describe Briggie's jokes lol...
Now what about Makeitfit...
Got to be "Metal guru" by TRex lol
For Jonela and the saga with the recent failed attempt to relay a windscreen to France must surely go to "Blame it on the pony express" by Johnny Johnson and his band wagon...
Well Zippy's turn now...
I had thought about "Flash bang Wallop " by Tommy Steel, you will probably remember the chorus better...
'Old it, flash, bang, wallop, what a picture
What a picture, what a photograph
Poor old soul, blimey, what a joke
Hat blown off in a cloud of smoke
Clap 'ands, stamp yer feet
Bangin' on the big bass drum
What a picture, what a picture
Um-tiddly-um-pum-um-pum-pum
Stick it in your fam'ly album
But, much better would be an image of Blondie (Debbie Harry) singing, " Picture this"
I have to take a rest now...lol:augie
Hee hee... Banshee now... Mr Discount man, cheap skate, sorted out discounts with Milners, robbed Halfords of all their spot lights...:augie
Got to be... "Chirpy Chirpy cheap cheap" by Middle of the road lol...
:lol

What a coincidence, This record was the first record I ever bought I think it was about 1973 and I still have it somewhere  the force must be strong with you rustic
I want whatever drugs they've given Rustic from the hospital!!!!
I told you I had time on my hands, yeah, re the drugs, I'll auction off the remainder... if there are any left. lol :augie
Actually the stronger ones are codeine, and they have the opposite effect to norovirus on the body...:augie
I was watching Star Trek earlier and I had a chuckle to myself when ever they mentioned Captain's log, can't think why...:doh

Codeine has a morphine base. This in most forms causes terrible constipation.......not good, Captains log for sure.......:nenau

When my grandson was little ,4 els 5 (he's 21 now) he used to love the song from paint your wagon "Hand mi down that can of beans". we used to have to sing it in the car wherever we went ,:doh He also liked the Elvis song" In the Ghetto" but he thought it said "in the Gateau" I think he had a bit of a food obsession! :lol
How about any one who gets their car through the MOT...
All right now, by Free.:thumb2
Or for any one getting stranded off road..
Stuck in the middle with you by Stealers wheel
Now if Ryan was still with us then Madonnas song like a V**g*n would be appropriate in his earlier days lol..

That song must be... Say you'll be there, by the Spice girls, but if it doesn't arrive soon, then maybe ...Tragedy, by the Steps.
