The old plug & play tuning boxes are very hard to get these days, they just plug into the wiring between the pump & No1 injector IIRC as they have plugs that match the Nissan wiring harness so no soldering needed:thumb2

Very Very hard, and this one is one of the later ones with a USB port so you can play around with different settings :O

Last one I saw of these sold for £120

As promised here's a pic of it in place, slots nicely behind the battery actually, one longer cable also stretches around the front of the engine as there is one wire to the MAF as well, I've cable tied it to the existing wiring that goes around the front of the engine

Oh you have that type Banshee you used to be able to get one that plugged between that connector so it could easily be removed with no traces it had ever been fitted Dinky had one on his MK3 T2 & by god did it shift:D

Left a disco TD5 standing from a few sets of lights the other month & a couple of days ago had some snob in a RR sport TD6 reving his engine trying to look down at us at the lights but he wasn't as cocky when the lights changed & I floored it & my wife said he had such a shocked look on his face as we pulled away from him but if turned to a look of fear when we hit the round about & used rear wheel steering:lol:lol

You can use them together but remember the maf amp is mainly making good poorly MAFs
OEM MAF + Power Chip = va va va voom :sly
Now, add some LPG and a modded turbo with some big ass I/C , straight through 2 1/2" zorst and then you have some tarmac shredding torque and I hope some shmokin' action :naughty

Any ideas where to get these chips from as I've just ordered a vauxhal maf for more low end grunt that was advised in a different topic that with raised boost and ideal power chip that should pull my vintage tractor on a trailer happily and supprise a few on the road but where are these power boxes hiding

Has anyone got any experience on the tuning chip that plugs in to the OBD port? Looks too simple to be true, especially for £120....

I've always been told to stay away from these as they are cheap junk that don't work correctly

My 3.0 has a chip express box fitted - I haven't driven a 3.0 without the box, but I do know I can surprise a lot of people from the lights, and my son screams like a girl if I boot it :)

I saw this a while ago, opened up a Bosch ECU and no chips of the numbers given, do not know about the Zexel setup though, Rick

So hard to say BUT it does "look" like the Tunit II power box. Same screw adjustments and same 4 wire set up.Appears to be the same gain figures and half the price of the Tunit.
I'm guessing they must do the same job.
Fill your boots, buy it and turn that screw :naughty

My box has 3 connectors that go onto the round fuel pump plug, 1 wire hat goes on another connector next to that and then 1 wire that goes to the MAF so that doesn't look the same as mine

Mine is a Tunit II . Got it years ago but I think I paid a couple of hundred for it then and there weren't many about then !

Zexel mate :D way back when, I rang them up old skool like
The guy I spoke to was very helpful and said basically it's cheating the MAF signals. So the ecu sees cold air temps and so bungs in extra fuel . It's adjustable and can be mean if you want. Only consequence I've seen is that at high screw levels the idle revs won't drop back to normal. The instructions say that's the limit point. Ignore that and it does go faster :lol
