That would drive me mad, I drove for 5 hours round green lanes in Hertfordshire last week and hardly any mud on car, the advantage of Tyres that are not to big for the car.

Kind regards

How are you finding the performance on the new rubber?
I put some rubber strips on my arches to keep the mud at bay.

The tyres are performing too well, occasionally I might wanna bit of tyre spin, difficult with these tyres :o

The swampy muck was different but then again it was completely buried steering n all :lol

I recon, you are not really off roading, but are selling top soil on the side... literally.
You must have 15-20 kg of the stuff when you consider what might be in the wheel arches and around the fuel tank.
:lol:lol

You probably need to wash it all off, as wet mud resting against any steel work for long periods of time will encourage the rust worms.

Back in the mid 70's, I had a Toyota Corolla, and the front wings rotted through and the car wasn't even three years old.:doh Then i discovered waxoyl...
There were no inner wheel liners in those days, and the mud and dirt used to accumulate on a narrow shelf right at the top of the wing, it was constantly damp and encouraged the rot. Add to that some road salt, and leave it and...
In those days, Datsuns were actually worse than the Toyotas, how things have changed.

I use a Karcher under body lance to wash any crud off, but even this can cause more problems than it solves, as it can wash mud and salt further into the body cavities and seams. So extreme caution is required.

Collectively yesterday an today took me 48 minutes of jet wash time to remove 95% of the mud :doh and some patches of paint too :doh
