View Full Version : Inboard water tank
Got our new(ish) van home today and have found it as a inboard water tank, we are taking it to the camp site tomorrow staying over the weekend to have a play with it to see whats what.
Quick question: Anyone know how we drain it when we are ready to come home?

maybe under tank/van or in sink area there will be drop/dump valves.
father in law's doesnt have a tank but have latter for draining system.
Think I have found it,looking through all the paper work that came with it, it's under the van, having solved that one got another!!
we have a thetford C20 It lookslikethe one we have at home if you know what I mean.. Anyone know where we put the pink stuff in for the flush? on the old van it is inside the door where you take out the cassette, but can't see it anywhere in this one.

some vans have a dedicated filler for flush higher up van outside.
i have put an on board tank in my ABI caravan, best mod I have done no grovelling on my knees to connect water and always ready to use. My tank is in the front locker so I can adjust nose weight as well. to drain tank I just turn on the tap until its empty!....bri

Paul, what kind of van is it :?:
On the new posh bogs the filler is directly above the cassette access door on ours and I would think its the same on others.
Have fun :!:

Daved, it's a 1998 Avondale Avocet, on our old Avondale it is above the cassette inside the door, gooing to have a good look for it in a min before we set off.
Thanks for all your help every one!!
