Took my mate with me to the offroad site on Sunday - he had a great time, even let him drive the Trol for a bit :lol

Found having someone else my size (16 stone +) sitting in the passenger seat was a big help! With the extra weight on the passenger side I was able to get up that steep crossaxle slop that had been giving me bother :thumb2

Was very glad of the winch bumper at one point though ...

Came up the opposite side of the slope on the left of the pic, a short but quite steep and very muddy slope turning to the left (towards the centre of the pic)

As I crested the slope you had to do a sharp right turn towards where I was standing to take the pic... except the Trol decided not to!

Not enough grip on the mud to overcome the momentum of coming over the slope and she slid straight into the bank to the right of the above pic :doh

Bit of a solid thud and I just about embedded the nearside wing of the bumper in the bank :augie

This was the imprint in the bank

Do you get many Roo's in NZ. We got Walaby's in Derbyshire though if that counts. One hell of a bumper is that.

I did very simaler thing with mine the bumper survived it ok but mine had to be winched out backwards and that removed both the plastic sump guard and steering covers, which at first I was not bothered about as only plastic but now my engine gets all the crap thrown over it so need to get some replacement covers.

Kind regards

Russell.

Yeh it'll have been the plastic steering guard and the one that stops the crap getting thrown over the radiator I'm guessing. Sump guard sits behind the axle and should be made of steel.

Mine went missing when the garage replaced my clutch and flywheel (only realised about 3 weeks later when I was down at the Wales laning weekend) and I never bothered getting it replaced as I knew I planned on lifting the suspension soon - the guard sits around the front prop and I figured there was a chance it might foul the front prop at anything outwith the normal articulation range :nenau
