I'm nearly at 5,000 posts.

As it has been mentioned you guys have been thoroughly blessed with my wisdom :augie dedication :augie commitment to carry out a repair :augie and don't forget all my threads and endless pictures (none of which are duplicates) :augie

I just wanted to say thanks to you guys and don't worry, Ill still be here when next year rolls around ;)

Says you on 9500 +

It's more about No. of posts per annum that matters, Alex has done 5000 in around 10 months, now it doesn't need me to tell you, but that's 500 per month.

No one else posts anywhere near half that rate.

Quantity.. very high
Quality... hmm..

This is my best guess of Alex's posts...
Percentage of his posts requesting assistance... includes asking any technical question 15%:thumb2
Percentage of posts saying what mods he has in the process, and how, but not why, they went wrong 25%:nenau
Percentage of posts that treat this forum as a face-book or twitter account 58%:augie
Percentage of posts that actually offer help 2%:thumb2
but most of those say, someone will be along in a minute who does know.:doh

Now I'm sure those figures need adjusting, I'll let you decide...:augie

Then you have to look at the number of posts that follow as a consequence of Alex's posts, now that must be 5 x more...

So Alex is directly, or indirectly responsible for around 30,000 posts.
That's thirty thousand.... hmm.
Now what is that as a percentage of all posts? and look at the annual cost of running this site.

Alex.. I can see your subscription going up...:lol:lol

There is one thing that I haven't considered..:nenau
That's the entertainment factor, I do chuckle at most of his posts, and more especially at the sensible replies..:lol
This site wouldn't be the same without Alex:thumb2:thumb2

500 per month :doh

2% help....that much :nenau

Mind, better watch myself now he's into shooting :augie:lol

Ryan used to be quite active too

we are all unique ( just like everyone else :lol ) ....... and alex is no different ....one big family and long may it survive :thumb2

:clap:clap:clap

Awesome dude, I do love it here :lol

I must admit the help here is great, one thing you missed off the percentage list is the welcome I give new members ;)

See without my "constructive" posts the forum would be all so quiet, can you imagine ;)

In a serious note, are old threads not cyphered through and deleted accordingly?

Saying that minus pictures, text docs ect are all incredibly small :augie

I do love the family here it's awesome, I cant imagine not being on here anymore.

nothing wrong with Volvo's :thumbs

We're even considering a Skoda...., a Yeti, in 2 wheel drive format, just test driven one this morning... or another Picasso to replace the old xsara Picasso.. I wish they still made them...
The C3 Picasso is a bit basic, but cheap, and the C4 Picasso has all the belts and whistles, but a tight squeeze getting it into the garage...
We are test driving some tomorrow, and a pre- requisite is, we take one home and shoe horn it into our garage, but the door is just 7 feet wide...
If it has electrically retractable mirrors, the C4 should fit.

No not to replace the Mav...
No No No...

If anything ever happens to me... it will be a "viking burial"... I'm taking it with me lol...

To save on costs, we could just bury you in the mav :naughty :augie
