Following everyone's quick responses to my last post it would appear I have a defunct maf. I've had a quick look on fleabay but can only find cheap patterned parts and I've been stung on them before on my old bravo hgt. Where is the best place to buy genuine parts like a maf, is it main stealer only?
Thanks in advance

Forgot to add, it's a hitachi one
Local motor factors , would be good.Don't go down the cheap and cheerful route. It will pay in the long run to get a genuine one . Don't know the price of yours mine were bosch.
I just had to replace mine - also hitachi
I work in the trade and tbh the ones from eurocarparts etc are ok still not always brilliant,
this is the one I bought comes with 12month warranty same as a motorfactor will give you and fair price

Brilliant, thanks t2chris, I will get one on order
For the money he knocks them out at I'd risk a 2nd hand one from James :nenau

Be careful there are two types, the one t2cris has highlighted does not say if it is Hitachi or Bosch, the pic looks like Hitachi but may only be a representativ pic, Rick
This is the one I ordered for Hitachi as the part number corresponded but is worth a check against what yours has at the moment.

Right I'm gonna hop on this thread a bit as my maf died on the way to visiting rick today, it's been on its last legs for a while but now going uphill booting it engine light comes on and is looses power, all the typical symptoms.
We use euro car parts, they wil more than likely get one delivered to my work tomorrow, does it matter which one I get? :nenau
All I know is that I need one ASAP as I am traveling tomorrow afternoon

I went on their website but couldn't see any so assumed they didn't do them. I might be able to get one trade if they do

Will do dude, will have to be tomorrow though :o
About to go sleep :thumbs
Alex if you have the MAF with the later part number like me it's £400 from Nissan:doh & is the same as some of the 3L models but the earlier/cheaper ones won't work on your motor either:doh but there was a thread on here where someone found out the mega costly MAF is used on some Vauxhall's & is 1/4 the price you just have to swap the MAF into the Nissan housing as it's different

Have you got that part number of the one that is that much? I have an 04 would mine have one?

Ok right, I have work today but what I will do is take off the maf before I go in (on bike)
Regarding the swap actually my maf was so badly goosed I actually took a donor one off rick (off an old model) which is also goosed but less goosed than mine :lol
This leads me to think I may have the old maf, I will confirm with part numbers soon though :thumb2

If your MAF has F00C 2G2 061 then it is the same as Alex and the Vauxhall part is 93173727, posted by Rayf today, Rick
