Thanks Guy's.
We're all ok, ish.
The guy came over the brow of the hill on the bend and lost it. he went up the verge and that threw him back on to the road in our direction.
Fortunately it was about 200yards in front so I had some time to loose most of our speed as did he.
He headed straight at us but I got 2/3's on to the verge.
All the airbags work and the SOS system on the phone alerted a call centre and we had a voice on the handsfree phone system asking what help we needed within seconds and it knew exactly where we were in the middle of nowhere too.
My wife came of worst as she didnot see what was about to happen and the seat-belt tensioners pulled her back into the seat with some force.
Again modern Tech really does work. but could have been so much wors.
I did have my in car DVR running and it caught it all.....
I will try to upload a link to somehere soon.

Wow! you could have done without that, glad you are all OK'ish, take things easy for a while till you know for sure, I know when I hit the wall almost headon doing nearly 30mph at Arena in a banger, I got out and felt OK the full race harness took the strain, but the following day I had some pains that were not there before, Rick

.
Actually might have been for the best, had she known what was coming she might have tensed up, often you cause more injury when you are tensed.
That's why children falling down stairs ect usually don't hurt themselves, if we fall down we brace and put arms out, crunch time! :doh
Glad both of you are a ok though

I would say you were lucky, when a motor goes up a bank uncontrolled, it always comes back down still uncontrolled but usually a bit more of an angle than in your vid, Rick

Wasn't you Alex but someone had a go tonight.
Car in front stopped a bit peculiarly, as the cars in front of it didn't, I started slowing up and then really had to stomp on the anchors and the abs kicked in.
The chap behind me wasn't as keen on his brakes:doh

Mr Citroen was insured with direct line:thumb2
08:35 and they were on the phone, admitted total liability asked if we wanted them to arrange collection of the merc and its repairs, I also had a courtesy car dropped off for today while they sort me out a diesel auto for the duration of the repairs.
Today I have an Insignia Sri tourer tomorrow a merc c class, tbh the Insignia is quite nice but haven't had a manual for a while and I'm too lazy to be doing the gear and clutch stuff:augie
Direct line will be getting asked for a quote when my next policy is due:thumb2

Yes Jim transport sorted for now, just need to see how long it takes to repair or if its a write off. Had a better look behind the rear bumper and I think it's creased the boot floor.
My neck is a little sore this evening but an early night might help!

Their personal injury department called today and we're very helpful too.
