Hi guys. Landed at Cobb Hill Farm just outside Bexhill Friday. Any locals with advice on things to do or see? Obviously a family holiday but I'm gonna try and sneak a mountain bike ride in. :p
As for my terrano, it was trouble free and has been since I've owned it. Happy days. Still haven't worked out mpg and not sure if I want to know because it's a necessity rather than just a toy.
Suppose I could lose the side steps, but I kinda like em

You don't need a Mountain bike this far south, we only have over sized Mole Hills, mind you, you don't really need a mountain bike in Norfolk either.:lol
The only thing I know of Bexhill, is it is the "Birth place of British motor racing", which they seem to celebrate rather underwhelmingly, with just a mention on the boarder signs.
I return around 24 mpg towing caravan, and approx 32mpg on long runs without it.

There's no good down hill mtbing to be had near Norwich but there's quite a few wooded areas for x country riding.
I saw a picture of an old race car on the Bexhill museum website so I'll give that a go.

Solarman Rik? Maybe see him around. Got another week here yet.

Cobbs Hill is on land that used to be Banks Farm many years ago, of which I own a part, if you head along Watermill lane towards Sidley on reaching the tee junction turn right and about half a mile on the right you will see a sign on a white post, Kiteye Farm down that track 200 mtrs a gate on the right on a left hand bend, enter the gate and a further 250 mtrs you will find us, but will not be around all day tomorrow as will be in Ealing London, although the Mrs and dogs will be here, you may want to pop in for a wine or beer in the evening, Rick

Arrived home last night after 10 days in Bexhill. Met Rik and had a chat and a brew at his gaf. Cheers Rik. Good to meet you. Should have set up camp in your yard. Would have been more than happy jobbing about with you.
Wtf is happening with the Dartford crossing? I know it was bank holiday monday but slow moving traffic for 8 miles to the tolls!
Again a faultless journey towing a 1900kg van with my 3ltr auto terrano.
Roll on meeting more of you guys. :cool:6059

Glad you enjoyed it, nice meeting you, only sorry I did not have more time, and you are welcome any time to visit with your van and family, that goes for any one else on here by the way, re charges! well half what you would pay a site, having said that I have no Idea what a site charges, and we are on limited power, any way we are not in it for the money just cover our costs, and for those that do not tow a tin tent we do have a mobile home that is empty although limited facilities, Rick

We paid £30 per night all in. Which is reasonable for a school holiday period.
