We are planning to move home soon, it will increase my commute from 12 miles each way to about 45/50 each way.

My old girl (xj600s) might not be cut out for such long trips anymore, she's getting on a bit. I will never get rid of her, but she could be a weekend bike.

I was planning to try and get hold of an xj900s.

I know a fair bit about these bikes, the 900 is shaft driven so no chain maintenance. Anyone got any experience with em? :nenau

I had a Honda CX 650 Eurosport, that had shaft drive and was a smooth ride.
Where are you moving to Alex ??

Currently in northolt and we are moving to biggleswade Bedfordshire area. :thumb2

Bullet proof jap four well capable of high mileage.
Regular oil changes is the way forward on these machines

New gear is on my list, although I do have a met police jacket still :sly

Used to get asked frequently by the met coppers :lol

I don't really do leather, I'm not the right shape if you catch my drift

Armour on the other hand, yes, to the max!!
