Dongles are dear, why not tether your mobile instead? most have data

my mobile is on virgin , and although I have " unlimited data " ...the signal is poo :o, my dongle is on the three network , and that has a marginally better signal .

Oh Jessus, you are coming down towards me :surrender
I am in Suffolk and we usually go up to Norfolk and yes there is no mobile coverage in the main. We are going to Langham in Norfolk from the 9th Aug to 16th Aug. Where are you heading to? Might be able to meet... or at least speak through the repeater?
Looking at the 2m repeaters, where I will be in Langham (south of Blakeney) is between two repeaters :doh
GB3KY - Kings Lynn
GB3NB - Norwich
70cm rpts are a bit patchy... :(

I will be around the caister on sea area .... and will occasionally listen through GB3NB on my ft 1802 as my other radio is qrp
for hams in other parts of the country ( or world even ) GB3NB is echolink enabled :naughty

Have to arrange a sked, when will you be at your site?
Looks like a good hour and a half drive to your holiday QTH from Langham. :(
Also Langham is on the fringe of GB3NB's coverage :( :(
