I will be going awol for a couple of weeks from around the 15th aug as im going on holiday to Norfolk :D ......the mobile phone signal isn't too great at the site and I will be using my dongle :naughty.....so expect disruptions to " normal service " ..... during this period zippy has charge of the manuals ..... look after him and be gentle with him please :lol.

no im not leaving the forum ...... id never do that :D ...... but I need a holiday .... we have a static caravan in Norfolk and haven't used it since oct last year :o...... but as I said the mobile phone signal isn't too good down there ( ask clivvy ) ....... but I will be taking my amateur radios , and might listen to GB3NB occasionally :thumb2

my mobile is on virgin , and although I have " unlimited data " ...the signal is poo :o, my dongle is on the three network , and that has a marginally better signal .

I am in Suffolk and we usually go up to Norfolk and yes there is no mobile coverage in the main. We are going to Langham in Norfolk from the 9th Aug to 16th Aug. Where are you heading to? Might be able to meet... or at least speak through the repeater?

Looking at the 2m repeaters, where I will be in Langham (south of Blakeney) is between two repeaters :doh

GB3KY - Kings Lynn
GB3NB - Norwich

70cm rpts are a bit patchy... :(

Looks like a good hour and a half drive to your holiday QTH from Langham. :(

Also Langham is on the fringe of GB3NB's coverage :( :(

Still want to try a sked on the friday (15th)? I am going up there this Saturday for a week.

I have echolink up and running on my laptop and mobile, have yet to find out how to use it... :doh

AND changed rigs in the T2 from a low power handie to an Alinco dual bander :thumb2

Well we are nearing the end of our stay in Norfolk (Saturday) and the 2mtr and 70cm repeaters are dead... as in no one on them :doh
