I haven't chucked this away yet, is it worth anything? It's rust free and hammerited (currently splattered in mud)

It cant go back on, the backet to the chassis has sheared off.

I may remove every trace of it and hammerite over the top :sly

I could always put some chromed up side steps back on :naughty

The reason that I asked about pay & play or just green lanes is that I had a Trooper with no arb on the back and admittedly the rear shocks where abit tired but the problem was the back end flopped on roundabouts normally not much of a problem but in the wet with my insa turbo special tracks that do not hold the tarmac well at the best of times the back end did have a tendency to slide out very easy, this was quite scary to say the least.

I would not remove the rear arb on a car that gets used daily on the road and to be honest I have not felt much diffenence green laning with or without it as green lanes are just not as extreme as pay & play where it does make a difference.

Best solution is the system on my Patrol whereby I can turn the arb on or off as required.

Kind regards

Russell.

I think your tyres were the main problem, No rear arb probably made no difference making the back end come out.

Drives fine with no arb on and off road.
Not man didn't bat an eye with mine missing and you do get a lot more articulation.
Not all green lanes are tame. Try Hopkins Clough

Same here and you can clearly see where mine was fitted.
Rear springs on mine are 20% stronger and heavier duty shockers make up for the body roll you might get on standard set up and no ARB.
To be honest I personally can't tell the difference.:nenau
