Like Steve says, just a roof tent. Look cool but more hassle than they're worth as you need a roofrack fitted and they then take up at least half of it!
Better off with a normal tent unless you really need to be up off the ground. Fez and I have both of us sold each of ours in the past 6(ish) months for that reason.

Jim to be honest they're a pain in the backside. Fez's was a rigid one like in Alex's pics and was very bulky and very heavy - not easy to put on and remove from a roofrack with two people and one person has no chance without a forklift etc :(
Mine was a Brownchurch 2000 (google it Alex :p) and so easy to mount on your own as it unfolded along the roofrack and so was very light but you need a plywood/buffalo board base on the rack and you then have to clear your rack every time you want to use it :nenau

I guess when the wind gets up itll be pretty uncomfortable too, sea sickness lol. Defo my nice little tent for me, good snug warm nights sleep. Off up to the dales in a couple of weeks with some mates and the tents.
Great if you do alot of camping or on a long expedition type trip.
But for the cost of them and how heavy they are to use a few times a year not worth it. Better off with a decent pop up tent.

Looks a bit like a Top Gear joke to me.
Would a trailer tent not be better?

seen pic before.
how about load limit on truck, ok its based on when driving but
that plus couple of people going to be way more than 50/75kg.
T2 looks well, lifted?, lot of air in those arches.....

My understanding is that load limits are generally for dynamic situation ie. when the vehicle is moving, so if your'e stationery (as you would be with the tent erected and people in it) then you're ok :thumb2
