Started the day at 08.30, Eastbourne at 9 for a leaky ball valve, after sourcing new B V and fitting left at 10.30 to another Eastbourne job this time Solar, system at 0 pressure, topped up with antifreeze to 1.5 bar, system working, no sign of leaks, left at 11.30 to go to another at Polegate, system pressure low, again topped up and no sign of leaks but low sensor seems too high so moved it to side of cylinder which is a better place, left here at 12.45 to next job in East Grinstead again low pressure but this time found a small leak at pump, now this lady had suspected a leak at this point and placed tissue under but remained dry, on removing the pipe insulation discovered that it was wet, so the leak was small and over 6 months or so had leaked enough to stop the system from operating and all the liquids had evaporated, so sorted the leak and left at 3 pm, next job is in Ashford not an easy route from here, and every town you pass has congestion problems eventually arived at 10 past 6,replaced broken tube, no problem but when to top up the spindle on the valve decides to leak, frantic have I got a replacement? Yes fourtuneately, so top up and job done, left at 7pm home at 8 pm, not bad 5 jobs and 140 mile round trip, but could not do it every day, aside from the fact I had to get up to early to get my oats, very bad news, just a day in Rick's life, hope you all enjoyed it, if not say and I will refrain, Rick

Good work Rick, there's nothing worse than a late one and no parts to fix a drip. I really don't envy your traffic :o
keep it up :naughty

+1 on this.

I have to use the bike, the car is so torturous, an hour for 11 motorway miles. If there has been a crash or disruption then expect 2...

Sounds like one hectic day!! And I guess now you have to restock? :nenau

It's true there are a lot of good things about living in France, like the traffic,or lack of it. The notable absence of crime, Almost unheard of here in rural France! The lifestyle and the food.:thumb2
However when you live here full time (11 Years now) The negatives start to outweigh The positives, The cost of food, the high social charges, The language( even after 11 Years its hard speaking French for more than a few Minuit,it gives me headache !):doh Missing your family,we have a new grand sun and have only seen him for a week in two years !:(
And another good reason, you can't mod your truck here, not even bigger wheels, as it would fail the MOT.:doh
But If any one would like to buy my House heres a link to its Face book page:naughty

Sadly, I have to agree with Jonela, after 6 years hard work building a very successful business......I find I miss the UK. ...you have to leave to know what you really miss, and then decide if you can balance the pros and cons out to suit yourself.....
