SE4x4R were asked to do traffic control for the Lydd club day carnival today, and we volunteered.
When we arrived, the carnival queens float was there, but the classic American car that was supposed to tow it round, had not tuned up. We were asked if we could tow it round for them, so instead of Traffic duty, we got to tow the carnival queens round, the route, and while it was not the planned "American Classic", it was much better, as it was a "Japanese Classic" instead.
We had their elderly lady "Chaperone" in the back of the car, and every time she met any of her friends, they would take pictures of her in the "Posh" 4x4, with the comfy leather interior...
If I had known we were going to play a star part, I would have washed the car, we even had to drive up and stop in front of the Mayor, so the queens and he could meet.
Suz said "only I could managed to go to a strange place where I know hardly anyone, and manage to pull 2 carnival queens with her sitting next to me"...:beer
