Howdy and welcome, there are a few posts on this, infact an open one at the moment, you must be very careful before you take the plunge or you could make a terrible mess.
An easy idea would be to remove seats an smoke windows but I imagine security is important? :nenau

I'm doing exactly this at the moment and have in the end decided that I was going to just put tinted windows in as I was way out of my depth, whatever you do DO NOT buy a set of the genuine boards out of a breaker as you WILL NOT get them back in!!!!!
They are fibreglass and the minute they are removed from the original truck that they came from, they Banana and will not bond to another ever again, however
I have just had some 3mm steel cut with 10mm overhang all the way around allowing it to be MIG'd to the body, riveted etc etc but given my luck recently I opted for windows again :lol
I paid £90 for the 2 and they are very weighty!!!!!! I'd go as far as saying they are bulletproof :lol, if I can get £40/£50 back for them I'd be happy
As for everything else etc I am your man!!!!! I have done a thread with detailed pics of the conversion from start to finish, I have had mine all boarded out inside as well :thumb2
I'd send you a link to the thread but because you're not a paid member you wouldn't be able to see it :(
Pay your membership and I'll send you the links and my mobile number and we can have a chat, you'll certainly need some help
