And to top it all, with both tyres pulling on the wheel arch spatts sounding like the Lolly in the spokes, the frikk'n exhaust has split:doh
But on the plus side 4.2i 6cyl with only a down pipe sounds awesome at 4,000 Rpm.
Was thinking about a new down pipe but a bit of weldin and an exhaust flexi may just do it:thumbs
Question; do i need a CAT ( I already have 4 dogs before you start) or could i bypass the lot and come out through the chassis leg before the back wheel:augie

Not a good plan going through the chassis  I took mine over the chassis on my T2 but that's lifted. You might be able to cut away the flange under the body tub. Cutting chassis is a pain as you're going to need a lot of reinforcing welded back on and then a SVA on the chassis

Ha!
I managed to get under the Troll without jacking it up:eek:
Seam weld the break all the way around without even taking the zorst off:clap:clap
Only the sills to weld and the brakes to fix and the head lights to empty and it's ready for its mot next weekend:thumbs
just checked today and it ran out on the 5th of May:doh

Must have been a crack that propagated all the way round as the metal welded up no problems.
Given the angle of the Mig torch, I was quite impressed with my self.
and the Troll is 17yrs old and still on the original Zorst whereas my crappy Vectra CDTi ,on a 54 plate, needs a front pipe after 10 years and 90,000m. at a cost of £110.
Good Little Troll:clap:clap:clap
...and the Troll is 17yrs old and still on the original Zorst...
Sorry to hear that, must have been a faulty one from new, to have only lasted 17 years... lol..:nenau
Wow... that's excellent for any exhaust.:thumb2:lol
I have noticed though, that after market exhausts never last as well as the original, no matter who makes the cars...

That's interesting, I have no experience with car exhausts but aftermarket bike ones are ten fold better than standard.
I had the old stainless steel japspeed exhausts on my mr2, they seemed good quality.

Anti roll bar done.
Full set of Pads changed. the rears were solid, surprised they showed anything on the test.
fronts weren't too bad but changed them anyway for £18 a set:thumb2
the front discs needed a bit of a trim with the grinder to take the lip off.
Just the headlights n bumper to do this evening when it gets a bit cooler.

I could deliver if you want them:thumb2
The Alloy steps and rubber ends are good but some of the support tubes need replacing, I'll check my other set to see if I can make a good set out of 4.
I'm going to use one set as a template fro some rock slider style steps:clap
once I have the templates and the steel profiles I may put a few up for sale:nenau
