Hi all.

Just a quick update of how things are.

No joy as yet with regards any offers to purchase the club but saying that neither of the two intrested partys have not said they dont want it and i am awaiting any news from them.

I have had a member get in touch with regards help with the web site.
The person he recomends really seems like a top bloke and with a very good history and is also fluent in editing and installing etc, in NUKE-PHP (the main site look and running etc), SQL (the site database area that holds all stored data), Also FTP for uploading and downloading.
but the hourly rate can be far outside the range of clubs income.

I will update when i hear anything.

Regards, Mav.

so we need more income then ?

attracting more members is one meathod , but i have pm'd mav with ideas to attract members... no reply

increase subs ? its 10 pounds now... but ok i think 20 pounds would be better.

how about 25 pounds and you get a free back window sticker this will attract new members too

also im in contact with a 4x4 landrover accessories company who is keen to help with jap trucks too...(credit crunch i guess ) so we could even let him advertise on site or set him up a mini shop on site and take 10% profit

just some quick ideas....

question is how much do you want it mav.... or you had enough

i want it enough to pay 25.00 a year membership ... anyone else

maybe someone should set up a poll i dont know how to do it

Increased membership is not what i want to happern this clubs here for everyone and of all rates of income.

More members is the only way that i want to go.

And yes had enough, But maybe a new job could help and is in the pipeline.

And sorry Extreme4x4, may have missed PM or something.

Lets just see how things go for now.

Mav.

ok... so lets face facts then.

if the club is not making enough money to support its own running costs... who's going to buy it, "we have all seen dragons den "

so if someone does buy it... they will only put the price up

so now we all know price rise is inevitable unless we can shift lots of new memberships or merchandise

question is do you want to keep it or sell it.

i'd rather you ran the club but thats only my oppinion...

sorry to be so blunt but unless you charge the right money your going to get stressed and poor...

i really would like to help with selling merchandise and attracting new members as i said in pm ...

Hello Colin.
I have just replied to your missing pm.

Its not that the clubs not making money at all, Its just working anywhere between 12 and 20 hours a day, I don’t want to be a another M6 statistic halfway though the night while someone else get rich at the expense of everyone else’s hard work.

Yes, To be completely honest with you all at the moment i want out.

Mav.

Please don’t think i am un-grateful.

ok so if you dont have the time, due to work and private life thats fair and very understandable,

but im guessing you still enjoy the club,...

so could it pay a single mum or a school leaver or someone working from home to do the computer side of things... as a fixed weekly rate

could we advertise for someone... this could leave you time to enjoy the club
