As Patrolman mentioned a wee while ago, tyres can be addictive  I pick up my 4 x 32" Khumo muds (~13mm tread) this Sunday, but...

I've just tonight picked up 4 x 32" BFG muds with 8mm tread for £80 :clap

The BFG's will last ages so I'llll fit them on the alloys and use the Khumos as spares.

I'm like a dog with two... Wales here I come! :D

And for anyone that's interested the 4 x 265/70 16 (31") General Grabber ATs with at least 6mm tread that I have just now will be for sale along with two barely used road tread tyres the same size just as soon as I get the BFGs fitted.

On the subject of tyres, I spotted a St Johns ambulance Defender 110 earlier at the petrol station on some GoodYear Wranglers that looked quite tasty

Anyone had any experience with these?

I had wranglers on my old blue truck.
Good all round tyre but u could get 2 kl71 muds for the price of one so that's what I swapped for.

Well I picked up the BFG muds and took them down to a local tyre place... one of them doesn't old air though :doh

They'd already changed over the other 3 by the time they found out :doh:doh (although still 3 good BFGs with 8mm tread for £80)

Got them to put 2 of the ATs back on the front.

Adz, how did you find your Khumos for treadlife? Was thinking I would leave the BFGs on the rear as they will last for ages (ATs on my Shogun did), put the other BFG on the spare and 2 of the Khumos on the front then keep the other 2 Khumos for later.

KL71's are the best tyre I've used :thumbs

BUT

I use Hankook RT03's as I dont want directional tyres & am gearing up for regular trips to France & will only have room for 1 spare & a few inner tubes ;)

I was gonna get a set of kl71's when I go up to 33's.
Thought of getting some a t's but prefer the look of m t's.
No rush yet,got a big list to work my way through before I get to new boots.

Yeh very good to know, I'll definitely be keeping the BFGs on the rear then for the time being.
