Advice for the 2nd speed hole

ok i need a bit of advice for this one, the 2nd speed hole

would it be better to plate it from underneath, or like i did the 1st one, from the top, also is it easy to remove the gay bs pump and put it back on? i know i am going to need to remove it if i go in from the top but what if i go from under neath, cut the bolts off make new holes and rebolt into the new plate?

How bad is it where it joins the bulkhead ?
I found it best to plate on the underside and dress from the top.
Nice clean under body to stop mud getting in again. You can hammer down the top side and weld again. Then seam seal and paint as usual. I'd guess the gay pump could be lifted a bit by carefully unclipping the brake lines first :rolleyes:

i've not checked the bulkhead yet as i need to take the wheel off to get in and have a proper look, today to protect it from weld spatter from above i put a sheet of metal over it :lol

hmmm seam sealer, spose i should get some of that, will take a few days off egay tho, and i need to get it done this week/end

right then, i'll go in from underneath, cut the bolts off and redrill the new plate, seam seal and then chaiss black the entire inner wheel arch, before bolting the gaybs back down and the fuel filter holder i'll seam seal the inside and chassis black it aswell then rebolt them back down, that should make it good for a few years
